MECU Announces Shared Branching Awareness Week with CO-OP Financial Services

MECU Celebrates Shared Branching Week with CO-OP Financial | MECU | Jackson, MS Credit Union | Pearl, MS Credit Union | Byram, MS Credit Union

At Members Exchange Credit Union (MECU), we are excited to announce that we will be participating in Shared Branching Awareness Week, organized by CO-OP Financial Services. As a proud member of CO-OP, we want to raise awareness about the benefits of shared branching and encourage our members to take advantage of this valuable service.

What is Shared Branching?

Shared branching is a nationwide network of credit unions that allows members to conduct transactions at other credit unions in the network, as if they were at their home branch. With over 5,600 shared branches and 30,000 surcharge-free ATMs across the country, members have access to a vast network of financial institutions.

How Does Shared Branching Work?

By participating in shared branching, MECU members can use their accounts to conduct transactions at other credit unions in the network. This means they can make deposits, withdraw cash, transfer funds, and more, all without having to visit a MECU branch.

How to Find Shared Branching Locations

To find out if your credit union participates in shared branching, simply visit CO-OP’s website and use their locator tool. This tool allows you to search for shared branches and ATMs near you, so you can easily find a location that’s convenient for you.

Benefits of Shared Branching

MECU members can enjoy a variety of benefits by participating in shared branching. These include:

Convenience

Shared branching allows members to access their accounts and conduct transactions at a wide range of locations, making it easy to manage their finances on-the-go.

Flexibility

With shared branching, members have access to a vast network of financial institutions, giving them greater flexibility and more options for conducting transactions.

Surcharge-Free ATMs

MECU members can use any of the 30,000 surcharge-free ATMs in the network, without incurring any fees.
